1996 Boll & Cie Champagne de Ratafia

A rarity outside of Champagne and France. Ratafia de Champagne is a still, fortified, dessert (sweet!) style of wine. It has rich, concentrated flavours that are suited to desserts, cheeses or rich style foods (think foie gras). It is produced in ultra-limited quantities, so there is a limit of 3 bottles per person.

Tasting Notes: The Boll& Cie Ratafia, Vintage 1996, is a sophisticated, mellow drink, packed with rich flavours of honey and dried fruit. The taste is delicate and enticing. The nose a subtle melange of tropical flavours.As aperitif or with starters, in particular with goose liver. With decadent desserts or fruit it is a delicious digestif. Enjoy chilled in an elegant small glass.
